Roundtable Discussion by Alisi-Christine on DeviantArt (original) (raw)

ari-6 does another fantastic job with bringing The Last Versus to life! :) Here, we have Darcy and Anne sharing a meal in the castle's mess hall, dishes that Darcy was sure that would please Anne, but Anne does not look very pleased.

The sun was setting on the horizon that set the tone of warm reds and oranges across the evening sky. The sun's low beams shined into every room in the castle except for one room, the castle's private dining hall. At the table sat Darcy and Anne and in the air around them was a tense thickness as both ate in silence. Darcy exchanged calmed glances with an angry Anne while Anne occasionally looked back at Darcy. Swirling the liquid in her cup around as she leaned back in her chair, Darcy continued taking in Anne's image as the thai continued eating the meal chosen.

"My dear." Darcy began as he placed her cup down on the table. "All I'm saying is..."

Sighing loudly, Anne slammed her fork onto the table and caught eyes with Darcy, her stare sharp enough to cut glass.

"All you're saying is what Darcy?!" Anne growled. "We've already had this discussion and I'm not repeating myself! Earth is my territory and you will not lay ONE hand on it!"

"All I'm saying is, we can save who you want and take what resources we need." Darcy calmly stated to Anne, who was shaking in anger. "We can do this together, not just you."

"But I stated I did not WANT your help!" Anne practically yelled. "As the new host, I'm taking over this operation WITHOUT YOU!"

"But as the core, we are a collective, not individualistic my love." Darcy continued in a calm tone. "We will be doing this operation together."

Slamming her fists onto the table, Anne jumped out of her seat and grabbed the flaming knife that was sitting next to her on the table. Activating it, Anne stabbed the heated blade into the table's top while glaring intensely at Darcy.

"Apparently, I did not make myself clear enough!" Anne sneered as Darcy leaned forward. "If you go anywhere NEAR earth, you are going to regret the day you ever messed with Anne Savisa Boonchuy!"

Pulling the blade out of the table, Anne gripped the handle of it and stormed out of the dining hall. Chuckling lightly, Darcy shook her head slightly.

"Oh Savisa." Darcy laughed. "If only you knew what was in store for you." Darcy continued chuckling.
