Ahh, where do I begin...

The use of red in ANY piece is tricky. Red is such a powerful color, if used the wrong way you can end up in a screen print gone wrong! Here, it is certainly NOT the case.

Going with red's strongest ally, yellow, was a good choice. The statement is loud, defined, and nothing is lost. The foreground IS the foreground, but the background is still just as prominent.

Your attention to detail is stunning. The fact that you draw so small surprises me. This much detail with drawing utensils must really cramp your hand! I think this is a fabulous testament to your wonderfully macabre style. You take the genre and turn it upon itself by being something bright, scary, and in your face all at once.

I read one of your commentor's comments and I will have to say I disagree with them. I really love the marks you add to your characters' faces. You keep with that baroque, on the panel style. It is somewhere between Egyptian, Baroque, and Low Renaissance and I love it. Without the marks, her face would seem pristine, which isn't the message you were trying to make here.

The only thing I think I would have suggested is that the lines be a little MORE exaggerated. I am not drawn to the face in the small OR the enlarged versions. I am actually drawn in by the careful details to the fishnet texture and the wonderfully random skirt she is wearing.

The hat/hair are symmetry in motion and I LOVE it.

The use of shapes is important in your style, I believe, and I think you have a strong grasp on things.

I love this piece overall, the use of color, shape, and texture are amazing.

The only thing that distracts me a little is the color of the farground. The aqua/turquoise color is a bit bright for the piece. A little more blue tint to it, or add a bit of a darker hue to it and it would be all right, but it makes it a little too bright.

Other than that, I love the piece!

Thank you for sharing your work with us!

Well done.

Love and Luck,
