"I can do it" Buttercup can barely contain herself as she feels her feet lift off the ground of Dexter's lab.

"You act like you doubt my genious" he says in his unique accent.

"Why do you do that?"

"Do vhat?"

"That"

"Do you mean the way I speak?" Dexter ask

"Yeah, I mean you're this hot guy (without the glasses) and you're like super smart, but I swear I'm talking to a comic book german nazi."

Dexter clear's his voice. "Sorry, old habits die hard. So you think I'm hot?"

"Not now Dorkster, how can I....?"

"It's only temporary but I've been studying some of the Professor's notes, and he had some interesting ideas about your powers...I also found out that a large portion of his data was being changed by someone."

"What...who?"

"Well after running several scans and backtracing, I was able to trace large portions of the original data to Mandark's lab."

"Why would you're rival being stealing from my dad?"

"Exactly what I thought" Dexter interupts "At first I thought it was to get Power puff powers of his own, but then I realized that it would only work on you girls..."

"And" Buttercup pulls

"And using those notes, I was able to give you a portion of your original powers back, but for it to remain stable..." Dexter stops "It could kill you."

Buttercup sighs "So either it works or I die?"

"Yeah, but the difference is so minute that if one killed you, the other would work, but for that we'd need a test subject and that's when I started looking deeper."

"What do you mean?"

"Guess who is funding Mandark's research?" Dexter turns around and ask

"No."

"Yes" he looks at her seriously "Blossom."
