Yeah, I like Klonoa, his games are really good. Back then, I never heard much of him as a kid, I'd see him occasionally like once or twice every few years but then I'd think he looked like some Sonic rip-off because of his design, because he looks like a Sonic character really, and... that's it. I'd see fanart of him sometimes, but I keep forgetting his existence afterwards.
And then the February 2022 Nintendo Direct (THE BEST Nintendo Direct, btw) came and the Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series was revealed, and ever since then, the hype for Klonoa began to rise. Suddenly, almost everyone was talking about him and how he's this underappreciated franchise that deserved more. So, last summer, what I decided to do is to play the PS1 version of Klonoa 1 on an emulator (because this was before I had my own card for commission money and I was relying on DA for the funds) and played it on an emulator. And I really liked that game! As someone who's loved Kirby's games, Klonoa one was a fun one to play....! I don't want to spoil the ending because... god.
After that, I got Klonoa 2, and that was the very first PS2 game I've ever emulated lol
Jokes aside, I was actually enjoying 2 more than 1, because of how grander and more fun, everything was like the first game but much better! I kinda left it for a few months because I got a bit lost in the first Ark level, and then I got distracted from it, and recently I decided to finally finish it, and I'm finally at end game territory. And I can't wait to finish it after I post this thing!
Honestly, I recommend you trying out Klonoa. If you're a fan of the Kirby games, or just want a simple yet fun platformer that'll stick with ya, consider his games. Either the OG or the Phantasy Reverie Series will suffice, if you ask me. The collection even has a demo, and is currently on sale on the eShop (definitely be getting that, too)! So, do check his games out, the Wahoo dude deserves it!
