this is my cat, 猫 (mao). we named him mao because he seemed really dictator like (selfish, greedy, proud, etc). also because mao (that character) means cat in chinese.

dear 猫 , I’m sorry for not taking care of you better when I could. I’m sorry I didn’t say bye to you before I left, I didn’t think you would disappear. I hope you’re in cat heaven now. Thank you for letting me carry you and for waking me up at 3am with your meowing when you were injured or lonely or both. Thank you for letting me sing to you even though I have a horrible voice and for letting me pretend I made a song for you with only one chord. Thank you for liking Paradise by Coldplay because I kept singing it for some reason whenever you were with me. Thank you for bearing with me when I laughed at your chicken sitting position. Even though you seem really dictator like at first glance you are actually very affectionate and a lot like me. We both really like food, and though we don’t like to admit it, we both really like people too. You will always be the best cat in the world. I love you. R.I.P
