Nimrodel got lost in the White Mountains and fell asleep near a waterfall. While she was resting a great storm came and swept the elven ship on which Amroth was waiting for her out of port. He drowned in the trying to reach the shore as he didn't want to live without her. I never understood why they didn't go together to Edhellond after their engagement in Fangorn. Did I miss anything?

I am still on my epic quest to do backgrounds. Tried something inspired by Tolkien's own drawings for this one. I'm not happy with the black band in the mid ground. What I had originally planned for that area turned into a big mess and I couldn't find any other way to save it. I haven't mastered this technique yet and I am very unsure how to shade characters and make them stand out of the background. As it is she gets lost in the environment. And manga-style characters don't go very well with this style of illustration, but I am yet to learn how to do them in another style. I'm a little more pleased how the cloth turned out compared to my other work. It's not how I imagine sylvan clothes, but I rally want to improve my clothes folds and my vision of woodland fashion wouldn't have proven much of a challenge. And, yes, I forgot her silver shoes. Ops.
