There is a comic coming soon on how this happen so all will be explained! But I'll explain now just in case if I take forever, Anyway I'll tell you a little about this Au thing. This is more later on in the future so mugs is around 26 or so same with cups but some time ago shit went down that made Mugs snap, it's because cuphead dies, mugs is in so much pain and anger he almost kills the devil for what he did so the devil to save his own ass makes a deal to bring him back but he tricks him and cuphead is brought back to life but is now very very small since the devil used only a piece of his shattered head. Now Mugs is now broken of sorts (hints the name) and he now has some anger issues and his whole view has changed and is only there to protect cuphead no matter the cost. Also he's technically the devil's worse nightmare and (spoiler warning a bit) when angered he can changed into his possessed form also seen if you gave the devil all the contracts but yeah that's the idea here and if you like it you like it!
