"Are you busy? We need to talk. Love ya."

Marina-Lynne didn't have to wait long.

"Ya, I'm here. What's up?"

"Do you have anything planned for tomorrow? I was invited to go to the People’s Party rally tomorrow in Ottawa. A bunch of us are meeting up first to prepare Blessing Bags for the homeless. I thought you and Arthur might be interested in joining us - making a difference.

I wasn’t sure if you are a Bernier supporter as well but thought you might be interested in joining in the outreach. You’d mentioned earlier you’d like to do things that would make a difference. I’d suggested writing, but this is incredible - boots on the ground, if you will.

Kavan will be picking Aziel and I up in the morning but maybe we can meet up. Is Arthur working tomorrow?”

"Kavan? That's such a hot name."

Marina-Lynne flushed crimson, but couldn't hide her grin. It definitely was.

“Details! I am so happy for you! You deserve this Marina-Lynne. It’s about time! Does Henri know? No, don't answer that. Dumb question. I can’t see us going. Rallies can be dangerous. I don’t think it is wise to bring Aziel, but that’s just me.”

Marina-Lynne hadn’t expected that response - in fact, she was certain her cousin would be asking where to sign on the dotted line, just as enthusiastic as she was.

“There is a group of army cadets, their parents, the cadet leader and a friend of mine from out west will be joining us with a group he is bringing. It will be a great opportunity for Aziel and I to meet others and I’m really excited about it.”

“Just be careful out there. These are crazy times. Maybe that cadet leader will be able to provide some answers. It wouldn’t hurt to ask him if he knows where we could obtain records. Have you started researching for your book yet?”

“No, I’ve been putting it off for as long as possible. I’m almost finished with Lady Allyssia, so I can't procrastinate much longer. I’ll see if I can find out more information tomorrow. If I learn anything, I’ll let you know.”

“Alright, well, be careful tomorrow. I’m heading to bed. Good night.”
