Wow, aren't I feeling oh-so-creative with titles this...morning? xD;

I got ahold of Corel Painter 11, so I figured I'd test it out with something really, really simply. Hence this.

I think, if I'm going to work in Painter, I need softer lines. It will help reconcile the softer colors with these harsh black lines. Or maybe I should change the colors of the lines? Either way, something needs to change there. The lines against the colors really bugs me, particularly with the hair.

I do luuuurve working with Painter though. It's so much more...friendly than photoshop. I love the tool selection. LOVE. I did most of this with airbrush and acrylics + major blending, but I want to experiment with the watercolor and pastel options, and maybe the oils too >3 All the fun of painting without all the mess! HAHA!

I like the way I did her eyes, though I think they should be longer. I guess I should clarify. I like the COLORING in the eye. I'm still working out my own style here. It seems to change every time I go to draw these days
