ARTIST’S NOTES!
This is my take on our adorable little mare! I chose the golden crystal heart because her magical aura is yellow. I thought I would add more yellow somewhere in her design to give Cadence a little more distinction. I put in a snowflake to give her more character and a little more connection to her Empire home. It's a constant cold outside the protection of the heart. Feel free to use it for your designs, just link back to this post and give credit with a link to my account!
The Cutie Mark is meant to symbolize her connection to the heart and the colder weather. She will be able to use the heart as a power source for her magic to increase her strength in battle. Similar to getting a power boost in a video game to increase speed or damage. Her winter magic comes in handy during battles or confrontations to create shields, bindings, or an enclosing glacial prison. However, more ice abilities can be unlocked with time and study from the right mentors.
