Featuring Princess Airmid and mentioning NPC Guard

Summer, Year 769 of the New Age

Glenmore, Glenwood

Airmid had been allowed to go walking in green Glenwood, of course with a guard that wouldn't ever leave her. Her father told her it was because the herd had to protect princesses so she just complied with his wishes.

Vivid sunlight streamed through the fairytale esque trees, beaming on Airmid's blinding white coat and the alert guard that trailed behind her. Her tail trailed in the grass, picking up various things from the forest floor, which would probably be cleaned by the hoofmaidens when she got back. It was calming anyway, not having to always be in the royal glades, acting like a princess and sometimes she even wished she was a commoner. Airmid always saw the commoner colts and fillies running in the mud and going to the market, without a guard or someone to watch over them all the time.

"It's almost time to go back now Princess Airmid." the guard told her in a monotone voice. The hind nodded in a silent agreeance even though she wished to retaliate and say she was going to stay here all day and then go to the bustling market to see all the amazing crafts that there are to offer by the different merchants. Airmid had even heard that there was merchants coming from different herds. It was all very exciting to hear but she couldn't actually go see for herself.

"Okay it's time to go now Princess Airmid." he said after the few minutes of silence in the same boring tone. Airmid replied with a small 'okay' before they both started to go back in the direction of the royal glades. As she walked past a small opening bathed in light, she heard her guard make a confused sound so she stopped and looked back before asking, "Are you okay sir?"

"Yes, it's just," he paused, his monotone act breaking, "you seem to have something falling off you."

Airmid looked down at herself, blue eyes widening in surprise. Small shiny speckles were falling from her, slowly increasing. They both didn't say a word and only watched as it started to collect on the grass below her hooves. The guard neared her before remarking, "something is wrong, we need to get back to the servants and your father." striding quickly away, no longer looking alert but rather contemplating what to do and if he was going to get blamed for it, making Airmid follow after him back to the glades.
