For this assignment in my image manipulation class, we had to get a picture of anything we want as a reference to make a digital painting (showing techniques, brushes, etc that we learned during class).

We can't use anything from the 'Filter' tab in photoshop, however we could use the blur, sharpen, dodge, burn, and other tools. We definitely could NOT brush over our reference picture (like tracing over), but we can have it out to take a look at.

To explain the outline around the character (as my teacher pointed out), I wanted to leave those broken lines to give a sketchy look because of my personal drawing style. I just did a few tweaks here and there to make it more interesting
