February 15th 1933 Dear Diary Sam has too much on his mind lately. He always seems distracted, and whenever I ask him about it, he just tells me not to worry. I know, I’m worrying, but he’s my only friend... Writing this in English doesn’t help thinking this through either. I have to think before writing down anything, and even then I mess up on words. I don’t think mother even cares that much anymore. It’s either all about Emily, or about what the prick wants. It’s like I don’t even get a say anymore. I don’t even know how I got so off topic.
