Here's a piece that I did for the Calgary Expo 2009 artbook. They've been running with a 'western theme' for a few years now (it's a Calgary thing), so I had some fun with it!

Every year they produce an artbook with a lot of the guest artists, and some of the locals too. It's printed as a hardcover book, and it makes a great keepsake for all you convention goers.

The original art was auctioned off with proceeds going to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Calgary. Drawn traditionally on bristol board with good old pencil crayons!

I'm actually working on this year's edition, which has changed to "Sci-Fi Adventures". Believe it or not, I'm not going to have a sexy girl pinup this time...I'm going for something totally different!
