I guess this could be considered my "35 years of Mario" fanart, heh

So, I'd like to say a couple things...it's a little sappy but I want to share.
I first found the franchise when I was 7, in second grade. I can't remember exactly how I came across it, but I know that my first Mario game was Super Mario 64 DS. I...struggled with it, because I refused to fight King Bob-omb (I was scared of him), so I was stuck having to rewatch the intro sequence every...time...I played. XD I wasn't the brightest kid. Eventually I did it though! So that's good lol...
Anyway, I had a Mario phase lasting from second grade all the way to fifth...so three and a half years. I loved it so much; I would wear Mario shirts and ask for new plushes and games...unfortunately I did get teased in school sometimes for it, and it sucked because...well, I couldnt help it. I loved the franchise so much. And I still do! Its got a big place in my heart, and I hope it stays that way. It's been with me for more than half my life. And I'm more than grateful for it. It brought me comfort then, and it still brings comfort now, especially with the state of the world right now.

So. Mario...thank you for bringing a little over 10 years of happiness to me, and 35 years of joy to the world.
