String Quartet, Journey

This is a string quartet that was recorded by the Olympus Honors String Quartet in November of 2024. The program notes are as follows... "Journey" takes listeners on a musical voyage driven by rhythmic ostinatos that pulse throughout the piece, propelling it forward. As the quartet traverses through a variety of unrelated keys and modes, it mirrors the unpredictability and excitement of exploration. Despite the ever-shifting harmonic landscape, the piece begins and ends with a low, sustained D in the cello.
