Description

When you hide your child's diagnosis you are doing them zero favours. You're not saving them from bullying, or isolation. Those things will still happen, but your child won't know why. They'll think there's something wrong with them, and blame themselves.

When you're open about their diagnosis not only will they know why they behave the way they do, but they'll also be able to find coping mechanisms, new ways to get around difficult situations, and most importantly, be more accepting of who they are.
