Description

Comparison of the crocodile Voay robustus (top), and the two Madagascan "Dwarf" Hippopotamuses, H. lemerlei (in the water), and H. madagascariensis (on shore). From the Late Pleistocene/Early to Late Holocene of Madagascar.

V. robustus was about 5 meters long, while the hippos were about 175 centimeters long, and about 70 centimeters at the shoulders.
