The Elvira painting is gorgeous! I've seen her without the makeup, too. Her real name is Cassandra Peterson and she's a red head. She wears the costume to hide 3rd degree burns that she suffered after lifting a pot of boiling eggs off a burner when she was just a year and a half old. She's beautiful without the costume, too. She's going to be 72 this year, but she doesn't even look it.
