They can't wear their performance costumes all the time! So this is his causal wear. And it is drawn entirely in pen! (quite proud actually)
Yes, he is smoking a cigar and drinking a martini just so you know what they are.
And his last name, Charbonneau, their last names aren't going to be brought up much in the story, but they do have them, Charbonneau is a French surname that means "charcoal." It is mostly given to someone with a dark persona! And yes Mephiles is French in this!
