Because we all at one point know what it's like to call out and not have anyone respond.

Read this article from dA and also one from CNN and fell in love with this whale:
Even though no other whale is answering his call, I can hear his voice indirectly. I know he exists and care and there are a lot of other people like me.
I know what it's like to be pretty much "unheard" my whole life, but I keep living, sometimes preferring to be alone.
I hope they find that whale so that we can all see the being behind the song before it's too late.

I used to be super fascinated by whales when I was younger (I still am) and would draw them all the time. This is the first time I've drawn one in many many years and this is the first time I've drawn an underwater scene since I started drawing digitally. I'm really happy with it.
