OC: A calm place for Luna by bianqiart on DeviantArt (original) (raw)

I miss making normal drawings, other than pixels. I was in the greatest vibe of drawing a beautiful girl with long hair, in a calm environment, but I didn't know who. I almost created a journal to find someone who had a character that fit into what I was thinking! But then I remembered of my girl, Luna.

Beautiful, but she was a child. I didn't want to draw children. Then I thought: why not draw her a little more adult? And here we are: A beautiful young adult, Luna. In a quiet place surrounded by bunnies, the way I imagined it (actually, even better!) I'm very happy with myself. This drawing reminded me how using references is important to get a good result.

I used DesignDoll to make the pose I wanted because I was not able to do it on my own.
To get a clearer idea of the little piece of garden she would be sitting in, I used this @/Hyanna-Natsu's drawing as reference: fav.me/db2m89a
For the grass, I followed this tutorial: fav.me/d8jgdx0
For the bunnies and flowers, I looked for pictures on the internet.

In fact, I'm always afraid to use references, I'm afraid someone says I'm copying. But then I remembered a guide I read about referencing. Here it is: fav.me/dbpt1id

I am very grateful to everyone who wrote this guide. It made me feel more confident and my drawing came out much more beautiful than it would have been if I had not used any reference.
