I really like this! I saw it on the deviantART starting page and it caught my attention immediately.

It's very immersive. You don't feel like you're looking at an animation on a computer...with the variation in light, you really see the depth, and it feels like you are journeying through another world.

In a way, the textures remind me of swiss cheese, which gives this art a slightly familiar look but the pointed shape and colouring preserve the alien look to it.

The blue suggests to me daylight and one might think the exit is near, but on and on it goes!

A great effort - one of the best fractals I've seen.
