Backstory: Born in 1947 Chicago, Ebony Wolf was once a normal young woman with aspirations of becoming a musician. However it would on a fateful day in 1966 while she was walking home at night underneath that became the victim of a werewolf attack under the light of the full moon. Despite its efforts to kill and feast on Ebony, with some quick thinking she was able to survive the attack, killing it using her silver necklace to strangle it to death. Sadly, one bite was all it needed to transfer its curse of lycanthropy onto her.

While she feared she would become a bloodthirsty monster she would end up being found shortly after the attack by the C.I.A who would quickly recruit her into their special supernatural division to not only help her learn how to control her new powers but also make good use of them. Throughout seventies she would be the C.I.A’s top agent against the supernatural until they would find and recruit several other women for a covert mission team referred to only as the Archangels. The team included:

Betty Lee: A female clone of Bruce Lee that was made by the C.I.A, in hopes of producing a superspy with unmatched physical and martial arts prowess. Despite all their efforts Betty was the only semi successful result of the project, and proved to be the groups hand to hand combat expert, and even training Ebony in martial arts.

Bianca Fontaine: Once a famous actress, Bianca Fontaine disappeared after a supposedly fatal plane crash. In reality, she survived as a test subject for the C.I.A.'s cybernetic research division, continuing to live through the installation of high-tech bionic implants. Unable to return to her normal life, she instead worked as an agent for them instead of remaining imprisoned as a science experiment.

Trixie Callahan: A young female half-vampire hailing from the Deep South of the United States, Trixe Callahan was a notorious career criminal making her wanted in nearly every state. However, despite her efforts to evade the law she was eventually captured and recruited by the C.I.A in exchange for not going to prison. She would end up serving as the groups driver and expert marksman.

In 1981, Ebony and her fellow team members were sent on a mission against the dreaded Count Dracula, where they would be betrayed by their handler, leaving Ebony as the sole survivor. When confronting the C.I.A of the betrayal, they choose to sweep the whole incident under the rug to avoid embarrassment. Angered and feeling betrayed again, Ebony would quit the C.I.A and turn to fighting the supernatural on her own as a freelancer for hire.

For the last four decades Ebony has remained on the road hunting down the supernatural horrors as a figurative and literal lone wolf in memory of her friends. Even with her desire to work alone, she has found herself unintentionally joining a new team of supernatural inclined superheros, the Midnight Society. Time will tell if she sticks around.
