Description

Here's a quick sketch of Marin from The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, my all time favorite portable Zelda. Not only was it a blast to play, the story was ahead of its time as portable gaming was still in its infancy. The ending was truly amazing, leaving part of it for interpretation by the gamer, much like a good book. Ultimately my take on it is that the island of Koholint and its inhabitants simultaneously existed and didn't exist. I arrived at this conclusion, as the Wind Fish was present in the waking world, suggesting that its slumber “realized” Link's latent thoughts/dreams, turning them into some form of reality. So I guess you could say Link is the ultimate lucid dreamer.
