So, what is Aconitum?
Fact: A deadly poisonous herb from the Ranunculaceae family. Its toxicity is evidenced by its Czech name "mordovnĂk" - meaning killer, or the English "Queen of Poison."
History: The English name "wolfsbane" dates back to the 13th century when the plant was used to kill wolves.
Usage in magic: It was sometimes used in funeral incense or to invoke Hecate. Due to its fearsome reputation, it was more commonly used in malevolent magic.
