Nights passed and Luna was always, all alone. She couldn't understand why Ponys dont like her beautiful night. Days of loneliness turned into weeks, months, years. During that time her only companion was non-existing pony, that she called Nightmare. Luna talked to her like she was real living creature, telling her all thoughts and secrets.
One day, after a serious quarrel with Celestia, Luna went into her private chamber. There for long time she cried, feeling deep grief and anger growing in her heart. It was at this moment she heard a voice in hear head. A voice of Nightmare.
N - Why so sad my dear?
L - What? Who was that? - Luna looked around only to see empty room, hidden in the shadows.
N - Its me. Nightmare...your only friend.
L - But your not real.
N - Ooo... but you wanted me to be real and so... here I am.
L - But...how....
N - Thats not important my dear child. The only thing that matters right now, is you and the truth.
L - Truth about what?
N - You want me to tell you? Fine. You want to know why ponys love the Day but ignores your glories night. Isn't that right?
L - Yes....
N - So use Celestial tears to discover it!
L - NO! I.... I cant... I shouldn't do it.
N - Oh... are you afraid that Celestia will shout at you?
L - No, its just that.....
N - Then do it!
Luna knew that it was the only way to find out the real reason behind this whole situation with ponys. She concentrated on this one thought with all her heart and mind. She had to want it more than anything else.
After few seconds, first tear dropped into the pool of tears she shed moments ago. It stated to glow with strange light creating hardly visible picture of something.
Another tear made it a little bit more distinct. After the third one the picture was all to well clear.
And it was mark of her sister.
N - Now you see who is the one responsible for everything!
L - But....Tia wouldn't do this....she.....
N - She did this Luna, she turned all ponys to love her day and forget about your night.
L - No, no, no....it can't be true!!
N - You know all to well, that Celestial tears never lie. - And it was true. Celestial tears always show only truth, but ONLY when the one that calls their power is alone.
Yet Luna wasn't alone. Nightmare was there, maybe not in body but in spirit, able to change the vision Luna saw.
