Awww yeah, a new dream team has been formed! My buddy from college, one Andrew Caynon a.k.a Genetic Destiny 
(he should be on your watch/follow list *hint*) and I have decided we should put our artistic talents together to create wonderful works of fan art for our love and appreciation for the smash hit series Super Smash Brothers! We've got a few works lined up and we'll be consistently putting out work regarding the series here on DeviantART, Tumblr (we both have the same usernames so follow us there!), and Smashboards, for the über geeks.
So yeah, here's the first of many, hopefully! Bowser Jr. is a character we both wanted for the game. I enjoy the character of Bowser Jr. very much. He's as dastardly as his dad but in such a terribly cute way that you can't help but want to pick him up and give him a little hug. His moveset would naturally feature his brush, or at the very least be incorporated in his final smash. The final design should probably utilize his bib/gangster rag but Andy opted to pass on implementing it for the art since it made him even more chubby (awww) than he currently is. I saw the lack of the bib as an opportunity to add to the background, and have him sprawl it on the wall like graffiti with his brush.
When I decided to color the work, I mentally retracted from painting in the "Ridley" method, which I shall now refer to for the Smash Bros. speed painting series I will be starting soon. This pose didn't really feel dynamic enough to render in such a way, so I opted for a cleaner approach. Pretty happy with the result. I had to make a few adjustments to Andy's lines (hope they were all to your liking bud!) otherwise I couldn't continue cause it'd just bother me haha.
