The primary belief among Cascadians is that the universe was created by the Sleeping God, but they believe that their Kingdom is currently being guided by a Living Avatar, Endëon Caradíl. He is believed by the Cascadian population to be their greatest champion and closest link to God.

As Arcadia does not recognise the legitimacy of Endëon’s status as an Avatar and believes that Cascadia's customs are heretical. It has caused great contention between the two powers.

This tension has recently come to a boil as the Cascadian Crusade was launched against the increasing Arcadian religious population within Cascadian territory. This has prompted discussion within the Arcadian citadel and high priests on the need for a counter crusade against the Cascadian kingdom in order to liberate the true believers.
