LiteratureEngineers of the Apocalypse (Poem)They carve the earth, they twist the sky, Building towers that scrape and deny. Chasing progress, they blind their sight, To the cracks beneath the fading light. Factories hum, rivers bleed, Fueled by an insatiable greed. Blueprints drawn in smoke and fire, Architects of our world’s expire. What we create, we also destroy, Machines of ruin, our deadly ploy. The gears are turning, the clock winds down, On borrowed time, in a fractured crown. Twisting the future, unmaking the past, Building a world that will not last. Engineers of apocalypse, hear the sound, Of the crumbling earth and heavens unbound. Fields turned to ash, the oceans rise, Poisoned veins run beneath the skies. Dreams of conquest, empires of dust, Steel and fire betray our trust. With hands of progress, we lit the flame, Now we stand in the shadows of shame. Blueprints burn, the warnings ignored, Balance broken, chaos restored. No more engineers of apocalypse, Let’s be the architects of hope’s
