Clyde, after being beaten by his father, was thrown into the cellar as "punishment" for causing "trouble" at school when it wasn't really his fault
Hearing the cellar door slam and locked, Clyde tearfully sat against a brick wall, looking at the dusty rotten cellar

Before it became a prison room for Clyde, it used to hold a lot of old houseware items for the house but now it was as empty and messy as an abandoned room.

It was all full of cobwebs, broken glass from used bottles and the smell was foul like it was from a trash bin. Clyde hated the cellar, out of all the places in the house, this was the place he hated the most, it was his own prison and his own hell down there. He could even remember staying there for a whole day with no food to eat or anything to do but to stay in the dark place with little light due to the light bulb hanging on top of the roof of the cellar being dull and old.
