I know how this feels. I feel like this a lot of the time. I love the emotion in your work. There is something here about sadness, and silence. Like, when you're sad, no one really wants to hear it, because we're not supposed to be sad in our culture - "don't worry, be happy" - so, i often feel shunned when i'm sad. This painting really resonates with that feeling. I like the composition too, and the way you used chiaroscuro to bring out her form and facial features.
