Dear Chinhy- Sou.
Hi, I hope you're ok.
At the moment I am working on an academic book about the art of cosplay. There are books of photos, of art, but not books that address cosplay as a cultural, social, even political phenomenon, and that is my intention. I was a very active cosplayer between 2009 and 2016. A disease (fibromyalgia) prevented me from continuing to develop in this activity that I adore, and it is my second passion after writing. I am a writer. A very early writer because I published my first book at age 18 and have published several published to date. A good part of them has to do with manga. But now that I have to stay in bed most of the time, I will exploit my academic streak (I am also a teacher and I have a doctoral degree in Japanese popular culture). The third part of the book will consist of interviews with cosplayers of various nationalities and levels, that is, beginners and professionals. In this last item, I consider your presence to be essential. I have a World CureCosplay account that is something like my "Operations center". My photos when I was an active cosplayer, wonderful memories of both my cosplayer stage and my stage as a fashion model, which somehow tied.
I beg you, in case you agree to collaborate on my project, to follow up on my WCC page. The reason is that I am creating a kind of community with all project participants ... would you be so kind to do that for me? My link is at the bottom of this message. As soon as you follow me, I will follow you too, with great pleasure.
The questionnaires would start sending them between February and March 2020 because they are personalized. The questions are different for each artist.
Believe me: without you, my book would be incomplete.
I look forward to your response and thank you in advance for your attention. In the meantime, he receives greetings and blessings from the Sonoran Desert (I live right on the border with the United States, in Nogales)
With love and admiration,
Eve
