Goretober day 21 by Chronochu-Chan on DeviantArt (original) (raw)

Let Dai. I read it around three times now. The first time, I sort of had to find where the chapters were complete on different websites, and I was hoping, with my pure heart, that there would be extra chapters for their relationship/life after they moved to America, but I guess that would ruin the mystery/mysticism of their relationship. So far, the manga seemed to end on the idea they are doing OK… Together. But there is something so destructive with the relationship that I had no clear feeling as to whether it was a happy ending or not.

This picture definitely portrays the cynicism, sadness, drama, and loneliness that those two felt, in my opinion. I know it was meant for Goretober, but the silent blue yet "romantic" feeling of the bruises. : - ( I'm sure the author herself drew the cover page to be that certain way, and she most likely adored Dai as much as the fans did. I just felt like the main character didn't actually have much to go for him, which is why he was so in tune for Dai. I don't know. I would've rather have the main character have something very strong going for him, so he was more of a stronger character to reject Dai and his shenanigans as opposed to all of the terrible things that he went through just because Dai wanted him. They can have a good relationship after going through tribulations together. But Dai just rejected him brought him back, and vice versa for the main character. I do not know if they went through so much hardship other the idea of "forbidden" and "separation by family". Something tells me their relationship later in America is as immature and as controlling as before.

BUT MAN, DID I ENJOY THAT MANGA

Sorry, an analysis on the manga. I truly and absolutely loved it, and this picture, I thought, had a deeper meaning that touched me more than your other Goretober pictures, maybe because I knew what the cover looked like.

If you want a manga that sort of reminds me of Let Dai, it is Kare Kano, if you have not heard of it: kissmanga.com/Manga/Kare-Kano/…

It actually has sort of hints of shounen ai in it, but mostly, it is about the black haired boy later and his abuses as a child. SUPER COOL, AND THE MANGA IS FUNNY AND HAS A GREAT HAPPY ENDING (YAYYY, HAPPY ENDINGS!)
