Panzer I China 01 by Claveworks on DeviantArt (original) (raw)
Although the Panzer I was already obsolete at the outbreak of WW2 it still formed the bulk Nazi Germany’s Blitzkrieg as a light tank to supplement the Panzer III and IV.
The Panzer I had light armour and weapons, and although it was modified and new versions produced it was soon surpassed by the later model Panzers. It saw combat in Poland, North Africa, and France as well use in China and Spain.
The Panzer I was armed with 2 x 7.92 mm machine guns. It weighed 5.4 tons and had a crew of two.
This example is a Panzer I Ausf A of the Chinese Nationalist Army 1937.
