Starfighter Germany JaboG 33 by Claveworks on DeviantArt (original) (raw)

The Lockheed F-104 Starfighter was an interim supersonic interceptor that entered service with the USAF in 1958. It was highly streamlined and attracted a great deal of attention from air forces around the world.

The Starfighter was produced under licence in Canada, Italy, Germany, Spain, and Japan in various versions and saw combat in Vietnam, the India-Pakistan wars, and the Republic of China.

The Starfighter was armed with 1 x 20mm Vulcan cannon, 2 or 4 x AIM-9 Sidewinders, and bombs, rockets, or fuel tanks - later versions had more pylons than the first F-104s.
