Description

This is an artifact that was in a friends family for generations. Because it is extremely heavy it may be petrified wood, the flower fossil integral to it, but Ed Bird carved on it to enhance it and made it into a vase.
I wonder if my hunch as to petrifaction can be verified.

To know if it's calcareous, add acid, it make bubbles.
If it's silice, really hard to scratch, no reaction with acids (exept fluorhidric..)
I can be resin : if you burn it with needle, it smell plastic or chimic stuff.
