In my story, Kopa and Vitani were best friends as cubs. He was heartbroken when his father banished Zira, as that mean’t Vitani had to go with her. He resented Simba so much that he ran away and tried to join the outsiders. Zira tried to attack him upon entering her territory as he was related to Simba.
Kopa didn’t know where to go. He felt lost and alone. After wandering for 2 days he was exhausted and dehydrated. He thought he was going to die until a rogue lioness and her cub found him. She saw what a terrible state he was in and asked where his family was. He told her he had no family. She took pity on him and raised him along with her cub, a female around the same age as Kopa.
Kopa grew up with his adopted mom and sister. Although he never forgot about his real family.
One evening, they had snuck into the pridelands to hunt as most of the herds had gathered there. His adopted mother and sister had just caught an antelope when another lioness jumped out from the bushes and tried to attack them.
Kopa immediately recognised her. It was Vitani, but what was she doing in the pridelands?
Kopa said her name and she also recognised him. They were very pleased to see eachother but had a lot of questions.
Vitani told Kopa that the pride was reunited and that her mother was dead. She also thought he was dead as the last she saw of him was when he was attacked by her mother.
Kopa told Vitani about how he ended up with an adopted family and asked her about his real family.
Vitani told him they thought he was dead and still miss him to this day. Simba has never gotten over the loss of his son and blames himself for his “death”.
Kopa wants to visit his real family so they know he’s not dead but all those years ago he told his adopted mom and sister he didn’t have a family. They felt betrayed by his lie and wouldn’t speak to him.
He went to find Vitani again and she took him to Simba and Nala. Where he found out he had a brother and a sister. Simba and Nala were elated to discover that their son wasn’t dead. He told them about his adopted mom and sister. They wanted to meet them but the feeling wasn’t mutual.
It was going to take sometime to get his adopted mom and sister to even speak to him let alone Simba and Nala.
A few days later, Kopa found His adopted family and real family having a discussion. He thought it must be a dream but it wasn’t.
It turns out Vitani had convinced his adopted family to speak to Simba and Nala, even if they didn’t want to speak to Kopa.
Kopa was very grateful to Vitani and the two fell in love, nuzzling in the sunset later that evening.
That’s the summary of what happened to Kopa in my story. What do you think?
