the S.S. Arkham was a cursed ship from the day her keel was laid at the Armatage and Lovecraft shipyards. A man was crushed when a girder slipped from the crane and fell on him.

There were two more horrible deaths before she slid down the ways and into Kingsport Harbour.

On her first voyage a leak in one of her exhaust funnels suffocated several passengers. During WW2 she was involved in a collision with a ship carrying refugees to the U.S. The refugee ship sank in 2 minutes taking with it most of her passengers. mostly children.

After sitting derelict for several years, the Arkham was charted by Myscatonic University for a expedition to study strange occurrences in the Bermuda Triangle. she was never seen nor heard from again.

There have been sightings of the ship now and then. they say the rusted hulk steams out of a smoky, fog. the air is rent by the sounds of screeching, grinding rust machinery and the howls and wails of tortured souls!

Strange inhuman figures scamper her blood-soaked decks calling out for mercy and some laughing maniacally.

Then the hellish vessel sails away leaving fear in her wake!
