Description

It started off with me trying to find out my style for drawing Roger Rabbit. It started to become very experimental, and then I found myself drawing a full character sheet of this new reimagining to reanimate the character in modern times. I took a lot of inspiration (and color palettes) from the modern Mickey Mouse shorts that Disney made. Of course, the obvious deviation from those shorts is the style of the character itself, particularly the outlines. There are several colors that I experimented with, but ultimately I think that I used only two from Roger’s original 1980s character sheet and the rest from the Mickey Mouse shorts. Overall, I think I hit a good sweet spot. Plus, it was fun for me!
