Description

No jokes, please, about the LMS being a backward railway! Here, No. 6233 Duchess of Sutherland runs through Plymouth with support coach en route to Par to bring the 'Royal Duchy' back to Bristol Temple Meads, July 21, 2019. No. 6233 was never one of the streamlined ones, as evidenced by the nice continuous curved plating over the front wheel. The former streamlined pacifics had an unsightly gap here. Note the 'Royal Duchy' headboard in place, ready for the return run.
