Kinsley was the son of a club owner and a Polish romance novelist who moved to Scotland after her first successful debut. She and her father met at the airport during a storm, and although they didn't seem to get along at first, they were inseparable by the time the storm-warning had passed.

He was born into a very work-oriented family, and even at a young age came to learn how to mix alcoholic drinks, even if he could not actually drink them. Because his parents were extremely busy when he was a child, they had always given him things to play on his own to relieve their own sense of guilt, however small. He was never good at video games before, but continued to play them anyways to make sure that his parents' gifts did not go to waste. (Also to avoid having to pay attention to any of the drunkards that came to his father's bar.

He doesn't see his childhood as wasted, however, and holds no malice or disrespect towards his parents. Rather, he wishes he could be as cool as they were, and tries very hard to be of service to them in their elderly years. Especially because the bar is now drowning in debt and his parents are lacking money to be able to see a doctor.

He moved out of the house after getting an associates degree in video game programming in hopes of being able to bring in some extra revenue; and was able to find out about DROID-co's wish tournament through a coworker.

- Loves cartoon shows! No matter how old he gets, he will always love watching cartoons more than live-action or serious programs.
