Hello everybody! It’s been a while since I’ve done one my “if I were dubbing Pretty Cure” and back with sharing my hypothetical dubs, this time I’ll be doing two seasons that are much older in the franchise, Yes 5 and Gogo! Without further ado, here's what I came up with!:

Nozomi- Nadia Dreamfield/ Cure Dream

The name Nadia means hope, so it goes perfectly with one of the Pretty cures of hope, Dreamfield is a straight translation of what Yumehara means.

Rin- Lynn Summers/ Cure Rouge

I couldn't find an exact meaning for Rin, so this will be one of the few times I’ll be using a name similar to the og Japanese, Lynn, it also goes great with her tomboy personality, I choose Summers as a last name to match her Japanese surname and it goes well with her fire powers.

Urara-Clara Printemps/ Cure Lemonade

I went with Clara since Lemonade is a light-powered cure and Clara’s meaning is related to light, since her dad is french, I gave the last name Printemps as it is the french word for spring. Also whoever voices her needs to be a good singer.

Komachi- Tove Fallon/Cure Mint

Maybe Tove isn't a common name, but I went with it since I wanted a name that meant beauty that wasn't Belle or Bella since I found those a bit overused, and after some digging around I came across Tove, and I personally found it nicely fitting for Mint, for her last name I went with Fallon since ‘muricans like to call Autumn Fall, so it wasn't too on the nose yet the meaning still there.

A weird thing I noticed, nearly all of the yes 5 cures have season-related last names, yet didn't give another Cure something winter-related, I guess they’re saving it for a snow powered Cure, whenever that happens again.

Karen Minazuki- Oceana Waters/ Cure Aqua

I’m aware Karen is a common name all over the world, however with all the Karen memes and irl Karens, I don’t think she’ll be taken seriously by today's audiences, so I went with Oceana to go with her water powers, the last name Waters is pretty self-explanatory.

Milk/ Kurumi Mimino/ Milky Rose- Milk/ Kimber Sandlers/ Cure Rose

Her civilian name was a bit hard to figure out, her Japanese name is a pun for Milk’s ears, but I couldn't figure out a good pun, so instead of a pun I went with an anagram, all of the letters that make up Milk's ears are in Kimber Sandlers.

I know some people will dislike this choice, but I made her into a cure to avoid confusion on who counts as a cure or not in the franchise, especially with newcomers.

For the mascots I kept them the same since they’re based on western sweets, as for their human aliases I gave them names that sounded similar to their mascot name:

Coco/ Kokoda- Coco/Connor

I’ll take any chance to reference one of the best films ever made.

Natts- Natts/Nate

As awkward as Natts sounds, I’m keeping it since we see that spelling multiple times in the show, and it can take a lot of time editing every single time his name is spelled that might be worth it if the show isn't a success.

Syrup/ Shiro- Syrup/Simon

For the villains, a few of them already have English sounding names, so I just went ahead and gave the ones with Japanese puns, English based puns.

somebody should really update the villains' profile pictures in the Pretty Cure wiki.

Girinma- Manthius

Gamao- Toader

Hadenya- Avelia

Kawarino- Chamerion

Yes 5 Gogo:

Nebatakos- Octavio

Isohgin and Yadokhan- Anemon and Crabbert

Shibiretta- Mother Shroom

Mucardia/ Kyosuke Momoi- Centipete/ Peter Centanni

Now let’s go quickly over the supporting and minor characters:

Mika Scoop

Kouta Washio- Mr.Konrad

Sakamoto- Mr.Sanford

Otoka- Mrs. Olga

Yu and Ai- Hugh and Aimee Sumers

Madoka- Miranda Fallon

Kanako and Mayu- whatever names the op and ed singers for this dub have

Do I see this season coming? My answer is straightforward no, the nicest way I can put it is that the designs aren't really that marketable since they were made to what was popular in the mid 2000s and bringing over the season that nearly killed the franchise isn't a good idea.

But now I’m going to say my honest thoughts on why I don’t see this season coming, Dream’s and Coco’s relationship.

What were they thinking? Whose was idea at Toei that the next season should have a teenager and a teacher having a pretty romantic relationship? Why would you try to normalize a relationship that isn’t sunshine and rainbows in real life?

The only way I see this working and still be appealing to kids that if they rewrite or add some dialogue to make them both around the same age, maybe have them say that Coco is highschooler who is helping out as middle school teacher, maybe have the cures be highschoolers and say becuz megic Coco is a teacher despite being a teenager and use that same excuse for Natts being able to own a store, all the girls being highschoolers could also explain why Mint and Aqua are still in the same school in Gogo despite supposedly being third-year students, I wouldn't mind that since makes much less creepy and more watchable as an adult, but there will probably be somebody screaming CENSORSHIP, my compromise will be to have the subtitled version legally available as well.

Idk, I just don’t see this season coming over here due to such a creepy relationship being a big focus in the show, most tv or streaming networks would probably want seasons where the relationships are more wholesome or a season where romance isn't the focus at all, sorry for any yes 5 fan reading this.
