Description

Been a long time since I've posted anything to the page but fear not watchers here's something that will chill you right down to your bones, the infamous Man-Eaters of Tsavo. The two lions that stopped construction of a railway across the river Tsavo in Africa in 1898 by systematically hunting and eating humans working on the railroad. The reign of terror lasted from March to December 1898 before they were shot and killed by lead engineer Lt. Colonel John Henry Patterson who would then go on to write a book on his experiences titled The Man-Eaters of Tsavo. He had the lions stuffed and made into rugs, and eventually he brought the remains of the man-eaters to America where they have been on permanent display at the Field Museum in Chicago ever since. Asides from Sue, these lions were at the top of my list to see exhibits at the museum during my visit. Be very afraid for it is said if you lock eyes with the beasts, you will experience the same fear of their victims in life. Taken on August 29th, 2016.
