• Gabbro is the eldest out of Marble Pie and Gilda's litter, a cocky loudmouth who takes after his griffon mother.
• As a hybrid, he is unable to get a cutie mark. This doesn't stop him from bragging about his obvious talent for flying to anyone that will lend an ear, willingly or not.
• His talent for flying is no understatement. Gabbro is the first ever non-pony to be accepted into the Wonderbolt Academy and a personal favorite student of Rainbow Dash's, as she sees herself in him.
• As the eldest of his siblings (by just a few minutes) he takes it upon himself to protect his sister and brother, even though neither of them really need it.
