Superhawke - reboot final art by Dangerman-1973 on DeviantArt (original) (raw)

AI-generated concept art of Superhawke, a hero from Project: Pureheart/Project: Pulsar

Amanda Hawkings was an ambitious reporter trying to start a career in the non-mainstream news streaming service Independent News Service. However, her big break in the industry would forever change her life. On one of her first significant gigs investigating a central museum heist ring leading to their hideout in an abandoned Brooklyn warehouse, she stumbled upon one of the burglars' trapdoors, plummeting her to their stash where she found an ancient artifact they stole. Curious and fascinated by the strange object, her contact with it accidentally emitted blinding streams of energy that engulfed her and mutated her DNA. When the burglars approached the commotion, they encountered a floating brown-haired woman in a red leotard. Amanda unconsciously dispatched the burglars and lost consciousness, out of control of her reflexes. After waking from her apartment with no memory of the previous night, she soon discovered during her daily routine some strange powers and abilities not found in ordinary humans, leaving her confused, not to mention being embarrassed in a skimpy outfit after unwanted accidental transformations. Then, after months of schooling, Yoga meditation from her martial arts master, and emotional support from her neighborhood, as well as several hours of research, binge-watching superhero shows, and reading comics, Amanda soon found the courage and a new purpose to help people in need and fight injustice.

Finally able to control her ability to change into her red leotard outfit by twirling in super-speed, Amanda resumed he job as a reporter while secretly fighting crime as her new identity, Superhawke, a name she concocted from her research of the South American tribe and its' idol where the artifact had come from. But little does she realize that the artifact that gave her powers was an alien beacon planted by the scientific arm of an intergalactic crime syndicate with plans of universal conquest and the upcoming escalation that will change the world forever. This escalation involved a top-secret bio-weapons project known as Project: Puredeath.

Amanda is the most mature of the Trifecta; taking the role of their mentor figure to Pulsar Pureheart and Wonder Cop, who are also her modernized and improved clones, she is a voice of reason and a rational wedge that stands between Pulsar Pureheart's naive and carefree attitude, and Wonder Cop's hotheadedness and violent behavior. Determined with an intense sense of justice and an advocate for gender equality, Superhawke defends the Big Apple from all criminal and meta-human threats while struggling with the rampant sexism and the hectic, stressful daily city life threatens her status quo as a defender who has recently earned the nickname "Manhattan's Avenging Angel."

Empowered to soar at incredible velocities, she can conquer any formidable adversary that dares to challenge her.

- Anti-Hawk beam - The Anti-Hawk Beam's powerful pulse beam hits Amanda, weakening her and stripping her of her extraordinary abilities, leaving her completely human. Prolonged exposure to the beam for more than three hours could prove fatal to her. However, she can recover by resting for 12 hours and absorbing concentrated solar radiation.
