This amuses me to no end....

Hollow Knight at Stepmania/ Dance Dance Revolution

So here's how this came about...

The drawing itself was amusing enough to me, but the sprite that inspired it... I could not think what the bloody hell Pure Vessel ever does in the game where he gets his leg up that high. So I went to investigate, found the sprite sheet that people had ripped from the game and eventually found the sprite.

Heres what it is... The way the sprites are ripped from the game, they get arranged weirdly with each sprite placed around the sheet not in order and also sometimes sideways and such. This sprite is when Pure Vessel bends right over forward ready to swing his sword but he leans so far forward that his head is completely sideways such that this sprite - when turned on the other side, has the head up. That was the orientation of the sprite on the sheet and so it looks like he's just standing on one leg.

Anyway, I showed some friends, relayed what my investigation had yielded as I was doing it and somehow DDR got brought up.

As an animator, I can definitely appreciate all the things Team Cherry has done to make The Hollow Knight/Pure Vessel easier to animate XD
