Firedrake is a young dragon and is the main protagonist of the animated film, "Dragon Rider" based on Cornelia Funke's best-selling novel, and is one of the three main heroes of the film along with his best friends, Ben, and Sorrel.

Full name: Firedrake.

Other names: Scales, Lad, Lame Flame, Silver Dragon.

Physical appearance: Firedrake is a special kind of Silver Dragon. Unlike the she-dragon Maia they found in the Rim Of Heaven, his horns point back while hers point forward so that the gender could be identified between both genders if they were judged by another animal or human.

Personality: Kind, friendly, patient, loyal, polite, caring, naïve, innocent, sensitive, selfless, brave, adventurous.
