Artie Whiteclaw by DarkSnarkArtie89 on DeviantArt (original) (raw)

In undies, because I treated this as a "reference" more than actual image. Also why he has the last name of a hard seltzer is because I put my name into the (in)famous werewolf name generator (infamous because it's how we got the name "Moon Moon"). He can wear any of the outfits I put in my "outfit reference" except perhaps the demonic getup because let's get real, a wolf is the most generic and blandest animal you could ever work with, but that means they can go into almost anything.

While Althazar the tiefling/eastern dragon is more for fantasy stuff because let's be frank, demons and dragons don't work well in modern or sci-fi settings, Artie is more the generic "persona for anywhere" guy. Wolves and their other canine kin exist almost anywhere at anytime, which is why everyone and their brother seems to have some kind of fox, dog, or wolf character for. But while others pick a wolf because it's "cool" and "badass" I decided to pick one because of how boring they are in real life.

Likewise, the other mundane animals didn't make much sense. I'm not lazy and worthless like a male lion, and I'd be absolutely pissed if someone made the women do all the work and hunting without rest. Likewise I don't live on a farm or know enough equestrian stuff to be a horse, let alone, I am not obsessed with the "package". And I'm not obsessed with the ocean and get tired of fighting people about how a shark should look so that's why I don't really stick to it, no matter how cool it is (you can say the same for snakes as well).

All that aside, I really love how the body shape came out here. It's a bit closer to a "realistic bigness" that I prefer, although for fucks sake, I really need to figure out how to draw the lower legs and feet better. They always look so wonky when I draw them.
