just floods

if words could help

we're not saying them

i could write them

they can pour out of me

in floods

and maybe that would help

words can make you cry

rivers of tears

even if you don't understand

the language they are written in

floods are universal

we are drowning

in a drought of words

but we dry our eyes

and carry on

regardless
